The Jobs:

Job 1: Part time Tax Manager (This is a new role in our growing practice)

This job entails being responsible for a portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for ensuring that their digital records meet HMRC's expectations. The successful candidate will need to be able to prepare tax computations to a high standard and to agreed deadlines. The role also includes providing advice, training and support to the office team as well as identifying opportunities for additional services.

The successful candidate will also;

  • Deal with all Corporate, Personal Tax & more advanced Tax Advisory matters
  • Be confident in writing Blogs and improving Social Media and website content
  • Help clients prepare for MTD using cloud services
  • Assist the team with Accounts prep during busy periods
  • Continue with their career progression and development within the Practice

Candidates will be part/fully ACA/ACCA/ATT or CTA qualified with previous experience of working in a senior tax role within a practice environment.

Salary packages are negotiable (please see below)

Job 2: Full time Assistant Tax Manager (This is a new role in our growing practice)

This job entails assisting the Tax Manager or Partner in maintaining a portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for ensuring that their digital records meet HMRC's expectations. The successful candidate will need to be able to prepare tax computations to a high standard and to agreed deadlines. The role also includes identifying opportunities for additional services.

The successful candidate will also;

  • Assist with Corporate and Personal Tax & general Tax Advisory matters
  • Help the Tax Manager or Partner improve Social Media content
  • Help clients prepare for MTD using cloud services
  • Assist the team with Accounts prep during busy periods
  • Continue with their career progression and development within the practice

Candidates will be part/fully ACA/ACCA/ATT or CTA qualified with previous experience of working in a junior tax role within a practice environment.

Job 3: Part time Payroll Clerk and Bookkeeper (This is a new role in our growing practice)

We are looking for an exceptional experienced hands-on and versatile person to join our team. This will be a flexible part-time role amounting to an average of 1-2 hours per day. The successful candidate will need to be able to work to a high standard and to agreed deadlines.

The successful candidate will assist our team with a variety of business clients and will need a basic understanding of payroll, RTI, VAT compliance and accounts preparation using different accounting packages. A high degree of accuracy in maintaining both purchase and sales ledgers will be required including undertaking bank/cash reconciliations as required.

The successful candidate will also;

  • Be IT-literate - Including Microsoft Word, Excel and Office
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be organised and methodical
  • Carry out tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Be able to work under own initiative

Candidates will preferably be part/fully AAT qualified with at least five years previous experience of working in similar environment.
